Overview

The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at NYU is a full service laboratory with operating hours of 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. and around the clock coverage for emergencies.

The NYU Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory grew from Andre Cournand's Nobel Prize winning hemodynamic studies, which were performed on the Bellevue Hospital campus and grew as a center of excellence in diagnostic coronary angiography as NYU was one of the leading centers in cardiovascular surgery.

Today, NYU remains a leading center in the field of cardiology and cardiovascular surgery. The Catheterization Laboratory at NYU is a major part of this center of excellence and has remained on the cutting edge of interventional cardiology by participating in major NIH studies along with participating in product and treatment implementation.
