Neil Cayne, M.D.
Experience
Dr.
Cayne is Director of the NYU Endovascular Surgery program and an
Assistant Professor of Surgery specializing in vascular surgery.
He has a special interest in endovascular surgery, particularly in carotid artery stenting with cerebral protection for cerebrovascular disease, and in endovascular grafts for both abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms.
Dr. Cayne is currently the principal investigator for 2 clinical trials involving a new minimally invasive technique for the repair of thoracic aortic aneurysms.
He has published in many areas including abdominal aortic aneurysms and minimally invasive vascular procedures.
Education and Training
Dr.
Cayne received an Engineering degree from the University of Michigan in
1991. He completed medical school at New York Medical College where he
was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He
completed a 5-year general surgery training program and a 2-year
vascular and endovascular fellowship program at Montefiore Medical
Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
